FAQs About Seniors Wellness & Physiotherapy

1. Is this program physiotherapy or a fitness class?
Our Senior Care & Wellness sessions are wellness-focused, physiotherapist-supervised programs designed to improve strength, balance, mobility, and confidence. If you need injury-specific rehabilitation, we can recommend a physiotherapy assessment and create an individualized care plan.

2. Do I need a doctor’s referral to join?
No referral is required. You can book directly. If your situation requires medical clearance or additional screening, we will advise you during intake.

3. Is it safe if I have arthritis, osteoporosis, or chronic conditions?
In most cases, yes. Programs are low-impact and can be modified for joint pain, osteoporosis precautions, and common health conditions. We focus on safe technique, gradual progression, and appropriate pacing.

4. What if I use a cane, walker, or have trouble with stairs?
You are welcome. We tailor exercises to your current mobility level and can help build the strength and balance needed for transfers, walking, and stair confidence.

5. How often should I attend to see results?
Most participants benefit from 2–3 sessions per week. Many notice early improvements in confidence and stamina within a few weeks, with measurable gains over a structured program.

6. How do you measure progress?
We track progress using practical mobility metrics such as walking speed, sit-to-stand performance, balance measures, and individualized functional goals. Reassessments help ensure your program stays appropriate and effective.

7. I get dizzy sometimes—can I still participate?
Yes, but dizziness should be screened. If dizziness or vertigo is affecting your balance, we may recommend a vestibular assessment and incorporate appropriate strategies. Vestibular Rehabilitation in Burlington
