What to Expect at Cogent Senior Wellness & Physiotherapy

Each session includes

  1. Warm-up & safety check

  2. Guided circuit training with personalized modifications

  3. Cool-down & recovery zone

  4. Progress tracking using mobility metrics

 

Session Duration: 45 minutes 

Frequency: 2 to 3 times per week 

Supervision: Physiotherapist or kinesiologist present at all times

Description

Low-impact, equipment-based circuit training using recumbent bikes, resistance bands, and functional trainers.

FAQs About Seniors Wellness & Physiotherapy

Q1. Who is the Senior Wellness Center designed for?
Adults aged 55+ who want to improve strength, balance, mobility, and confidence - whether recovering from an injury, managing chronic conditions or simply staying active.

Q2. Do I need a doctor's referral?

No. Clients can join directly, but we may request medical clearance if you have complex cardiac, neurological, or recent surgical conditions.

 

Q3. Are the sessions supervised?
Yes. All sessions are supervised by a physiotherapist or kinesiologist to ensure safety, proper technique, and progress or regression as needed for each individual.

 

Q4. How long is each session?

Sessions are 45 minutes in length, including warm-up, guided circuits, cool-down and rest breaks. Arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. 

Q5. Is this the same as a gym program?

No. This program is built and supervised by licensed rehabilitation professionals, with exercises adapted to your physical ability and health needs. It is safer, more individualized, and clinically informed.

 

Q6. How do I know which wellness & physiotherapy plan is right for me?

Your Introductory Assessment determines your current ability level, mobility status, and goals. We then recommend either Basic, Enhanced, or a custom plan.

Q7. What if I have limited mobility or use a cane?

You can still participate. We adapt exercises for all ability levels. including mild mobility limitations, balance concerns, post rehab recovery nd low endurance.

Q8. How are groups managed?

Participants are grouped by ability level to ensure safety, comfort, and appropriate pacing.   

Q9. What happens if I miss a session?

 You can reschedule within the same month, or purchase the 10-session PAss (valif for 2 months) for more flexibility.

Q10. Is this program covered by insurance?

Membership plans are typically not covered. However, the Introductory Assessment may be eligible under physiotherapy benefits depending on your plan.
